This year, we’re celebrating 250 years of American Freedom—1776-2026.
Freedom isn’t Free. And the flag is more than a decoration.
It’s a symbol of unity, sacrifice, and the enduring American spirit.
DID YOU KNOW? Red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white for purity, innocence and blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
Flag Etiquette:
DO:
- Fly the American flag from sunrise to sunset whenever possible.
- Illuminate the flag if displayed at night.
- Raise the flag briskly and lower it ceremoniously.
- Display the blue field with stars at the top and to the flag’s own right.
- Bring indoors during severe weather.
- Replace worn or tattered flags respectfully.
DON’T
- Let the flag touch the ground.
- Fly a torn, faded, or damaged flag.
- Use the flag as tablecloths, seat covers, or disposable décor.
- Display any other flag higher than the American flag on U.S. soil.
- Write on or attach objects to the flag.
