Our favorite photographer, Glenn Johnson, recently walked through The Shops at Willow Bend with his camera. The place was like a ghost of itself — empty storefronts, quiet corridors, that eerie hush where a bustling mall used to be.
It’s hard to believe this was once Plano’s crown jewel, opened back in 2001 as one of the last great enclosed malls built in Texas.
Now it’s closing for good, making way for The Bend — and word is the Dallas Stars may be the ones to finally fill the ice.
Before the wrecking crews move in, take a look through Glenn’s lens at Willow Bend as it says its last goodbye.
Thanks, Glenn!
